our mission
We are a diverse group of herbalist, gardeners, farmers, and plant lovers who believe in the radical transformative power of herbs to allow us to be proactive and responsible for all aspects of our health and wellbeing. We strive to educate ourselves and others in the art and craft of plant medicine, cultivation and restoration. We seek to empower our community through communion with plants and the natural world.
our vision
Wild Mountain Herbal Collective is a group of plant lovers from all walks who have come together with the purpose of connecting and cooperatively providing education and herbal preparations to our community. Nestled in the heart of the Sierra Nevada Mountains, Plumas County is a large rural community, which sprawls across one million acres of National Forest. Many families find themselves isolated from common goods and services including access to herbal medicine. WMHC serves as a bridge to connect people with plants; providing seasonal workshops in herbal preparations, native plant identification, sustainable wild crafting, herbal round table discussions and medicine circles. WMHC also serves as a medicine making collective whose goal is to provide a stock of herbal preparations to home and community apothecaries. We believe that a resilient community is possible when we have the ability to support, connect with and learn from each other. The power of plants invites us to take responsibility for our wellbeing and allows us to find vibrant health in the gifts of the earth.
